Introduction

Hiking is a great way to clear your head and get away from the day to day stress of your normal working day. I enjoy the freedom that hiking offers. I turn every hike into a mini adventure be it solo or with a group of family and friends. I am not saying hiking is the solution to all your problems but it certainly keeps me sane………..well saner anyway. My weekend hike gives me something to look forward to, from looking at maps or reading about routes online to checking weather reports and cleaning my gear. It helps the working week fly by and before I know it I’m pulling my boots on grabbing my rucksack and I’m out the door.
